After decoding how a simple memory can be portrayed in the watchface, another question arrived. How can we create an iconic photo watch face that is iconic, rememberable and sets the brand apart. Here we thought how could we celebrate the radial shape and use artifical intelligence to create a truly iconic statement on a wrist. The effort was to deliver a strong character unlike “simple photo” watch face.
Ensure time integrates harmoniously with the chosen photo by respecting composition, focus, and negative space. Numbers find negative spaces within the photo, adapting gracefully to its composition. Each frame must feel naturally composed like the time was meant to exist there.
Image background intensity used as subtle indicator for battery status. Font color is adapted accordingly to maintain readability with the new background color
Seamless wake up animations from Always On Display mode. Image is converted to greyscale with lesser visibility, saving battery and adding a pinch of privacy layer on top.
